Arkansas ENERGY STAR® Appliance Rebate Program

The U.S. Department of Energy awarded the Arkansas Energy Office (AEO) $2.74 million to launch an ENERGY STAR® Appliance Rebate Program. The program is intended to stimulate the economy by encouraging consumers to replace older, less efficient appliances with new, more energy-efficient ENERGY STAR® qualified models. The replacement of older appliances saves families money, helps protect the environment, stimulates the economy and creates jobs.

Arkansas ENERGY STAR® Appliance Rebate Program Objectives:

  • Save energy by encouraging replacement of existing appliances with appliances that meet ENERGY STAR® qualification requirements.
  • Make rebates available to Arkansas consumers statewide on a timely basis.
  • Leverage the ENERGY STAR® brand.
  • Keep administrative costs low.
  • Ensure state and national tracking and accountability.
  • Use existing ENERGY STAR® consumer education and outreach materials.
  • Avoid fraud and reduce the risk of any unsatisfactory outcome of the program.
  • Achieve high rates of satisfaction from program participants. This includes managing participant expectations, minimizing consumer complaints and providing exceptional customer service.
